Over the years Godiva has proven to exemplify dairy character, with
her wonderful flatness of bone, loose, pliable skin, openness of
ribbing and the willingness to milk. She is also strong on her feet
and legs, level across the topline, correct in front end assembly,
with a lot of depth and width throughout. Her mammary system is held
high and wide in the rear with beautiful fore extension, correct teat
placement and excellent udder texture. Godiva has had a show career
that few others can rival with wins to date totaling 6 X GCH, 1 X RGCH,
18 X BOB and 14 X BSDIS!
Godiva had another exceptional season in 2007,
receiving a final linear appraisal score of EX92 for the third consecutive year, as well as placing
5th in the Five & Six
Year-Old class at the 2007 ADGA National Show where she also was
awarded Highest Lifetime Milk and Highest Lifetime Butterfat. At the
2007 Minnesota State Fair she was GCH, BOB
and BSDIS for the second year. Godiva was also named the 2006 INBA
Reserve All American Aged Doe. After four consecutive lactations of
over 3500 pounds, she is now a current Breed Leader ranking 5th in
Milk, 6th in Butterfat and 8th in Protein.
Godiva is a favorite among my show friends for
her laid back attitude and taste for carrot treats, she is a true
dairy goat and a joy to own.
