Ruthie has matured into more than we could have imagined, being the
type of doe that we are hoping to breed many more of. She excels in
strength of general appearance with a very wide, flat rump, being
upstanding in the front end with levelness across the topline, and
smoothness of blending throughout. She also stands on good feet and
legs with wonderful strength and angulation to her rear legs. Her
mammary system is one of the most correct in the herd being high and
wide in the rear, with nice, plumb teats, and excellent fore
extension.
We are very proud of Ruthie and her numerous
accomplishments. She easily finished her championship at her first
show of the 2005 season as a second freshening three year-old, winning
GCH, BOB and BSDIS, making her our first homebred Blissberry Champion!
To add to her accolades, she appraised 5-05 EX91 (EEEE) and was 6th
place Five & Six Year-Old and a member of our 3rd place Dairy Herd at the
2007 ADGA National Show. At the 2007 Minnesota State Fair she was
Reserve Senior Champion with Best Nubian Udder and a member of our 1st
place Dairy Herd, 1st place Breeder's Trio and 1st place Dam &
Daughter. Ruthie is also a current Top Ten Breed Leader ranking #8 in
Milk (tie), #10 in Butterfat and #6 in Protein (tie). Needless to say,
Ruthie is a favorite of ours.
