There was a time when we didn't hold out any hope that Vivacity would ever see the show ring again. As a first freshening 2-year-old she freshened with severe mastitis (likely the result of a precocious udder as a dry yearling) and we were devastated to say the least. But with a little luck and a lot of tenacity... she came back in full form as a second freshener, finished her championship and was named Reserve Senior Champion at the 2014 Minnesota State Fair!! Vivacity continued with her show ring success in the summer of 2015 with another BEST IN SHOW win to add to her repertoire! At the 2015 Minnesota State Fair she was awarded Best Nubian Udder, in October 2015 she appraised 4-06 EX92 EEEE and earned her SG designation at the end of the year. In 2016 Vivacity placed 3rd in the 5-6-Year-Old class at the 2016 ADGA National Show and returned home to earn a final linear appraisal score of 5-04 EX92 EEEE! Talk about a comeback!
Those of you who know me personally, know how incredibly special Vivacity is. She is the resulting beautiful daughter of one of my all time favorite Nubian does, SGCH Kastdemur's Temerity 5*M EX93 (2008 & 2009 ADGA National Champion) and our treasured late senior herdsire, SGCH ++*B Kastdemur's Most Wanted (sire of our 2012 ADGA Reserve National Champion & Reserve Best Udder). I'll forever be grateful to my dear friend Krista Senn Myers for sending Vivacity to Blissberry. We couldn't be more proud and honored to have her in our herd!
