Louise has quite a story. She was looking pretty spectacular when tragedy struck just before show day at the 2019 ADGA National Show. Laurie then spent the rest of the time trying to save her while Louise fought like hell to survive. In the end... Laurie saved Louise but her udder was ruined due to a horrible spider bite that caused her to go septic.

Fast forward several weeks and at Convention, Laurie offered Louise to us knowing we could get her the surgery she needed and a forever home after her IVF. Dan made the l-o-n-g trek out west last fall and brought Louise home to Minnesota! We let her settle in for a week or so and then turned around, loaded her up and drove to Kansas to get Louise the lifesaving mastectomy she needed. The team at Konza Veterinary Clinic did an incredible job on the surgery and we are forever grateful for their willingness to tackle such an involved and difficult case. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that Dan did a pretty fantastic job at aftercare... she healed up beautifully and without complications.

Louise is now happy, healthy, looking good while ruling over her kingdom!  She's a pretty special doe to us... she tolerates me when I have treats but Dan is her person and he adores her right back. We would like to thank Laurie for trusting us with Louise and allowing her to live her life at Blissberry to make beautiful offspring! We are so happy she's here.
